This weekend the Pueblo Rural Fire Protection District will be performing an extrication demonstration at Milberger’s Farm during their tractor-pull. The demonstration will be this Saturday, October 12th. The first demonstration will start at 11 am and the second will be at 1 pm. Your Firefighter will be demonstrating the new battery power extrication tools that were purchased with the voter approved Mill Levy money, a few months ago. All extrication tools are in service on Unit 781, 731, and 733. This will be a great chance to see the tools and your firefighters in action.
We will also have the new type 6 brush truck there for the public to see. This unit is the newest addition to the PRFPD fleet and was purchased with voter approved Mill Levy money. This unit is the second of it’s kind and will be a great help battling wildfires. Unit 762 will put into service within the next week. Please come out this weekend and take a look at it and ask questions.
The Pueblo Rural Fire Protection District is having a fundraiser for Breast Cancer Aware this month. We are working with ColorSplash to raise money for the Breast Cancer of Excellence “breast diagnostic” fund at St.Mary-Corwin. The funds raised will be used for diagnostic services for women in the Pueblo community and the women in Southern Colorado being seen at St.Mary-Corwin. Please purchase a T-shirt and help us raise funds for local women. You can stop by ColorSplash Uniforms & Embroidery at 2403 Santa Fe Suite 2 Pueblo, CO or call 719-564-9655 to purchase your Fire Department Supporter T-shirt.
